    The Project Manager will work closely with our clients to guide and manage software implementation projects. This is a full-time position involving a mix of onsite travel to customer sites and working remotely.

    Project Managers possess an integration of inter-personal, leadership, managerial, technical and specialized skill sets.  Project Managers will be assessed and assigned to client engagements according to their relative strengths in each of these areas, the client’s emphasis on which characteristics are required and evaluation of fit.

    The Project Manager is responsible for planning project activities and seeing that they are executed at the highest level of quality, resulting in a successful implementation for the client.  A Project Manager must be able to balance the effort required to remain within the bounds of schedule and budget with the ultimate objective of proactively maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the engagement.

    Responsibilities

    • Follow EcoSys PM Methodology (EPMM) based on PMI in the areas of scope, risk, issue, change, communication and schedule management.
    • Project manage multiple software implementation projects concurrently Control and communicate project budget, scope, schedule, progress, and risks to clients and EcoSys management.
    • Coordinate cross-functional project teams focused on both functional and technical deliverables.
    • Identify and monitor risks and issues; identify mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
    • Develop budget and schedule estimates for proposals and new projects and approved change requests.
    • Track technical issues and coordinate with the consultants and the Development/Support teams to implement fixes/builds.
    • Work closely with Engagement Managers, escalate issues and risks, and share lessons learned and process improvement suggestions.
    • Support team morale through constructive feedback and education as needed.
    • Travel to clients’ offices for kick-off, Discovery Workshop, requirements gathering key meetings, discussions, and reviews.
    • Responsible for assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project.
    • Develops detailed project plans and manages implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on time delivery within budget.
    • Train and assist clients to promote their understanding of the EcoSys Project Controls Module (PCM).

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Minimum 5 years of hands-on project management experience
    • Minimum 3 years of software implementation project management
    • Experience managing large, complex projects, preferably having both business process and technical integration requirements
    • Understanding of software implementation methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative and Agile)
    • Expertise with maintaining schedules with standard scheduling tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Minimum 1 year of project Cost Controls experience
    • Minimum 3 years consulting experience
    • Minimum 2 years COTS software implementation experience

    Preferred:

    • Familiarity and experience with accounting systems
    • Knowledge of projects in oil and gas, utilities, and energy & construction
