Responsibilities

Your Mission

As a member of Hexagon PPM with a focus on Project Controls Software (EcoSys), you will collaborate with the client in collecting requirements, conceptualizing, configuring, and implementing the EcoSys EPC software solution, while recommending best practices to achieve client process improvements and cost containment upon the deployment of the solution. Responsibilities will include:

  • Determines client’s objectives by reviewing business functions; gathering information; and evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Designs solutions by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying client system capabilities; writing specifications.
  • Independently implements EcoSys EPC using both off-the-shelf and client-specific configuration that incorporates industry best practices within project controls; at times balancing multiple implementations concurrently.
  • Improves solutions by studying client current practices; designing modifications, use cases, BRD’s and suggesting best practices.
  • Leads training workshops for client team, provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; provides help desk support.
  • Mentors, coaches, and trains other consultants; assesses talent and provides feedback to management.
  • Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Applies analytical and technical thinking within areas of assigned responsibility to resolve routine client issues and challenges by identifying possible alternatives, and providing recommendations.
  • Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
  • Contributes to preparation of testing scripts and materials; supports and performs unit, system and integrated testing tasks.
  • Works with training team to develop application-specific training curriculums and materials and conducts training classes for client.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending EcoSys educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of highly complex projects from $1M+.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 5 years’ implementation and configuration of enterprise-level software
  • Experience with one or more of the following industries: Government, Oil and Gas, Construction, Engineering Companies, including understanding of business processes
  • Experience with Earned Value and Project Controls
  • Experience in consulting
  • Understanding of software implementation methodologies (waterfall, iterative and incremental)
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to learn and understand new technologies
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and establish credibility with clients
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to interface effectively with employees and customers of all levels

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Experience in scheduling tools such as Primavera or Microsoft Project
  • Experience with development languages: .NET, Java, C/C++ and SQL language
  • Experience with report writers such as Crystal, Hyperion, etc.
  • Bilingual language skills (English and French)
